This packet contains 5 mini-books and 5 response sheets to help build confidence in reading French material and also build reading comprehension skills. You will notice that the mini-books have repeated words and phrases for emergent readers.
The packet will allow students to work on some of the following skills, while also building fluency and accuracy: inferring, using complete sentences, vocabulary development and recalling story details.
How to use this resource:
1.Assemble the mini-book by printing the 2 pages, cutting in half and stapling.
2.Read the story, either as a read-aloud, in a small group or students can read it independently
3.Complete response sheets either orally, with a partner, in a small group or independently.
These mini-books are also great to send home as additional practice and reinforcement, as weekly homework assignments or as a way for students to “show off and read FRENCH” to their parents.
