ESL Food and Ordering Restaurant Thematic Unit

Are you looking for interesting material to teach your students how to order food at different types of restaurants? Would you like them to learn more about fine dining conventions, restaurant employees and how make special demands efficiently? Ordering and interacting with cashiers and waiters is an important skill to master for a second language learner.

This themed unit and project, along with oral interaction games & simulation tasks, is just what you need! Your students will learn how to order their meals, express their culinary preferences and inquire about others' tastes as well as learn new vocabulary related to different types of food. They will feel better prepared for real life "eating out" situations!

Use the reference sheets to go over the notions, worksheets to practice and games to reinforce learning. Wrap it up with our reinvestment project included to ensure deep learning. We also included a detailed planning to walk you through our sequence of activities.
