Students will partake in 8 activities (Blood Components Under a Microscope, Heart Rate vs. Physical Activity, Blood Typing x2, Vocabulary Challenge, True or False and Word Scramble, Blood Pressure, Pig's Heart Anatomy), that will enhance and support their understanding of the circulatory system. It is designed as a stations/circuit lab activity whereby students use the materials provided to complete the required activity at each station. However, the unit is versatile and comes wither several options. Whether it be implemented online or as individual separate activities, all the documents, resources, and support material are INCLUDED in this unit (apart from the suggested science equipment that you will have at your disposal locally). If you do not have the science equipment, then you can still use the included support material (Google Slides) to have your students watch the lab activity and still complete the engaging follow-up work for each. The topics covered and details of what the package includes are listed below. The design of this activity encourages students to stay on-task. Students will be encouraged to move around, manipulate materials, utilize visuals and work collaboratively which, collectively supports various learning styles. This unit comes highly recommended from my students!
