Here is a quick Earth Day project asking students to choose one thing in their daily life to improve on to help our planet. This 8 page document starts from guiding students to picking an appropriate subject, hypothesizing their impact, documenting each day what they observe and analyzing that information. This document also asks students to make a poster to promote the positive impact of their project and includes a grading rubric.
All suggestions for subjects do not cost any money, however it also invites students and their families to include an activity of their choice (incase they want to purchase something like reusable straws, etc.). A great activity for homework and to open discussion about how to help ou planet.
