Reading Strategies Worksheet and Task Cards FREE

These task cards can be used to teach the active model reading strategy. This resource contains:

• four task cards that verbalize what students should ask while reading a text
• 4 excerpts from novels, so students can practice the reading strategies with these short passages. 
• You will also find four Reading Strategies activity sheets that should be used with the four paragraphs on the task cards. These documents contain questions students have to answer while reading each excerpt from the novels.

You will also find a two-page-long Reading Strategies worksheet that you can use with any other text (ideally not more than five paragraphs). Assign students a text to read and ask them to record their answers on the Reading Strategies worksheet.
