Time Telling Reading Comprehension - FREE
This free resources is designed to help you assess whether your ESL / ELL / newcomer students understand the expressions “past,” “a quarter,” “half,” and “to” when telling time in English.
Students first read a short text named A Day in the Life of Emma, where time is written using only words and the expressions “past,” “a quarter,” “half,” and “to”. To demonstrate their understanding, they must match five actions with the correct time. Then, they answer 13 questions, seven of which focus on time.
