Edgar Allan Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart short story unit including vocabulary, reading comprehension, short story analysis, literary terms handout and writing activities worksheets. Student Booklet is also compatible with Google Slides™. For ELA/ESL/EESL students; recommended for advanced ESL learners. In the zip file, you will find differentiated reading comprehension activities, the original text, as well as an answer key document. Classroom-tested resource.
⭐UPDATE 2020: A copy of this resource has been optimized for paperless use. The document has been imported into Google Slides™, and text boxes have been added, so you can share it with your students on Google Classroom™ or similar online learning management systems that support Google files™. Minor updates have also been made.

- Literary Terms handout included that can be used while students are completing the second part of the document - Focus on Analysis. This handout is slightly editable as it allows you to add other literary devices

- C. FOCUS ON REINVESTMENT OF UNDERSTANDING - Writing activities (group project - mock trial; final reinvestment task - written production)
This completely revamped unit is ideal for grades 9-11, however, it may be useful for students above or below these grade levels. Please, check out the preview document to determine if the resource is appropriate for your students.
