SPANISH NUMBERS 0-31 I HAVE, WHO HAS? FREEBIE
ESPAÑOL SPANISH GAMES SPANISH NUMBERS 0-31 SPANISH FOR CHILDREN SPANISH NUMBERS 0-31 TENGO... ¿QUIÉN TIENE... ? ELEMENTARY SPANISH NUMBERS 0-31 TENGO... ¿QUIÉN TIENE... ? BEGINNER SPANISH NUMBERS 0-31 I HAVE WHO HAS? TWO GAMES AND CHALLENGES FREEBIE
Two whole-group lively and communicative language learning games, focusing on numbers 0-31 in Spanish. The repetitive nature of the questions and answers makes them perfect for practicing, reinforcing and refreshing the target vocabulary. The games have a multi-skill focus: listening, speaking, reading and spelling, with an important bonus focus on social interaction and participation. They’re perfect for pronunciation practice too.
The aim of the games is to arrange the numbers in the relevant order. Students can either create a human number chain, holding the cards themselves, or a number sequence on the floor, a longish table or other flat surface.
There are two games and two challenges:
= Challenge 1: with the numbers in numerical order, and the Q & A Tengo... ¿Quién tiene…?
= Challenge 2: with the numbers in random order, and the Q & A ¿Tienes... ? Sí, tienes... - practising numbers in in random order really helps consolidate learning. Students should respond No, no tengo... when their card is a different number.
There are 8 game cards per page. Laminate if possible, as they are easier to manipulate, and remain in excellent condition for years. Distribute the cards, two or three per student, depending on how many students you have in your class. Students walk around the room, talking to each other, reading their cards out loud, and sharing the information on their cards, until they have arranged the numbers in the relevant order. Students will generally have several cards, depending on the size of the group.
Play either as a whole-group game, or as a team game - which team can complete the challenge first? You can either play the challenges consecutively, or as a team game, swapping the challenges so that each team has a chance to play both challenges. The games work well played against a timer, regularly over a longer-term series of lessons, or several times in a single lesson. Do some high-speed counting warm-up activities, forwards and backwards, to get everyone ready to play. Can students beat their own time record?
