Jack Frost - ESL Escape the Room Game
This Escape the Room game has been created for ESL students in Grade 5 or 6.
This game is a nice review of notions seen previously. They practice communication and cooperation (teams of 4 recommended) to complete 4 different tasks. Each task gives them the number to a real life lock that ''locks students in the classroom''.
A situation gives them motivation to complete the game every task gives different numbers for different teams.
In this zipped folder you will have:
- All the explanations for the game (in french)
- The exposition for the game (a Genially presentation was created for visual support)
- All the riddles information you need,
- The codes needed for the 4 Lockee locks
- The answer keys for the 4 task (color coded)
- The combinations for the real-life locks
- Vocabulary sheet for the game
- 6 different Lockees / tasks (for 6 teams)
- The 4 different tasks to print based on the number of teams you have
- Images of what each task looks like when completed
Ps: For use, students should have access to a whiteboard marker in order to write their answers directly on the task cards. It really helps with the codes.
To do this game, you will need the following:
- 1 modifiable combination lock per team
- 1 tablet to scan QR codes
- a way to attach the lock in front of the door to simulate been ''locked in'' (I keep the ropes slack so students can still go to the bathroom and I can still easily remove them if a speedy exit from the class is required)
Here are the notions students need to complete the game:
- Articles (A, An)
- Question words
- Adjective order
- Simple present affirmative and negative structure
Nombre de pages (diapositives) : 20
