CONVERSATION CARDS or TASK CARDS

Included are :

•     24 printable cards (3 pages to print)

•     1 « Rules for conversation » sheet (paper or screen / various layouts)

•     Suggestions for teachers

You can use these cards as:

- warm up questions

- a fluency activity after practising the target language/topic

- task cards (writing)

Cut out the cards and put your students in small groups or pairs with a set of conversation cards on each table.

Asking / answering WH- questions

Would you like / prefer

The worst / the best / the most … superlatives

Jobs & job interviews

Social skills (through structured conversation)

Students take it in turns to take a card and read out the question.

When they have exhausted the topic, the next student turns over the next card and so on.

At the end of the activity, you can run through any interesting grammar and vocabulary points that you overheard during the activity.
