Perspectives and Differing Points of View
These 8 activity worksheets on Perspectives and Differing Points of View are designed to help students understand that people can see, feel, and interpret the same situation in different ways. Together, they build essential skills such as empathy, critical thinking, communication, and conflict resolution through a variety of engaging and interactive tasks.
Across the worksheets, students explore perspective by reading realistic scenarios, analyzing opinions, and reflecting on how personal experiences, emotions, and beliefs influence thinking. Each worksheet includes multiple examples (11 per sheet) to provide repeated practice and expose learners to a wide range of everyday situations—such as school life, friendships, family interactions, and decision-making.
The activities are intentionally varied to support different learning styles. Students complete written reflections, fill in charts, compare viewpoints, and rewrite stories from multiple perspectives. They also engage in creative tasks like drawing comic strips, role-playing situations, and writing stories from different characters’ points of view. These tasks encourage students not only to express their own opinions but also to step into someone else’s shoes and consider alternative viewpoints.
