Thank you for your interest in my product. I think this story is so original and funny! It's a fun way to teach students about interrupting (especially since we've all been interrupted during story time at least a couple times, right?).
In this booklet based on "Interrupting Chicken" by David Ezra Stein, you will find the following 7 activities:
- Writing activity #1: What is the story about?
- Writing activity #2: Being Interrupted: How do you feel when someone interrupts you?
- Writing activity #3: What is your favorite part of the story?
- Reflection: Am I Interrupting? (What are ways in which someone can interrupt? Show me four examples of someone interrupting.)
- Story elements (color by code)
- Story Sequencing: Draw or write the beginning, middle and end of the story
- Bonus word search for early finishers.
The writing activities have a drawing space above and the lines are dotted. Each writing activity has a version with a prompt and a version without prompt.
