If I Built a Car Writing Activities
Hi there!
This resource is based on If I Built a Car, written by New York Times Best Seller Author Chris Van Dusen.
In this resource, your students will get to "build" their own car! There are 6 elements to create by writing and drawing. Each of those pages include useful vocabulary related to the writing activity, There are two versions: with and without sentence starters. I also included an extra writing page in case your students need more space to write.
- The Engine: type of engine the car run on (fuel, diesel, water or even juice?) Is it electric?
- Going Places: How does the car go from one place to another (drive, fly, propels?)
- Secret Feature: What secret feature does your car have? Hoe can the driver discover that feature?
- On the Outside: What does the car look like on the outside? What is the car made of?
- Security: What makes your car safe? What happens in case of a collision?
- On the Inside: What does your car look like on the inside? Are there any fun features to your car?
My students absolutely LOVED doing this!
