Everybody loves those Sweethearts conversation candies, but using them in the classroom can still be very useful.
Heart Graph: (Pre-math) Give students a handful of those delicious hearts and they now have to classify them in colors. Once that is done, they must color the amount of hearts for each color.
Heart line-up: (pre-math) Students have to place themselves in front of the number of hearts they had to begin with (1 heart, 2 hearts, etc.) You can have them practice colors and numbers through this activity and students have to think fast and change their positions depending on the number of hearts they had on they graph (previous activity)
Heart experiment: (pre-science) Students must decide which heart tastes the best (of course, there is no right answer) through a tasting experiment.
Other activities may be done with these hearts. Many don't require any sheets of paper.
Use your imagination.
