This basic ESL English bundle is designed to enhance conversation skills and vocabulary expansion. With included writing and project ideas centered around favorite sports, hobbies, activities and adventure planning, students have the opportunity to practice new vocabulary both orally and in written form. This resource offers a low-prep solution for whole class discussions, partner activities, or even as a substitute plan.

Resource 2:

This ESL English resource helps to encourage speaking and writing about outdoor sports and activities. There are engaging templates included which focus on planning an outdoor adventure. Students respond orally to each question, as they add on to their “adventure” plan. This “print and go” resource takes the stress out of planning. This could also work as a step by step substitute  or sub plan.

Students enjoy being creative as they add artwork and sentences to their paper bag backpack (templates included as well as other writing options).

Basic Vocabulary:

Outdoor activities

Limited list choices for location and wildlife

Basic personal information (emergency card)

Simple sentence structures (I want to go, I want to eat etc…)

Helpful with backpack template:

Scissors, glue, tape, colored pencils, printed templates and a paper bag for each student

Resource 3:

The final resource has several of the same features as the basic 3D paper bag backpack. This resource has more intermediate sentence structure with editable options. Teachers can change the questions to work with your class. The printable backpack template may also be better suited for older students.

This activity bundle can be done over several classes, by starting your ESL class off each day with a question of the day. Students write a sentence each day to add to the writing templates.
