Content:

All resources are in one single file. Please note that all numbers are with arrows in all 3 resources of this product, therefore they teach proper number formation early on.

✏️ Resource 1:

Poster 1: Numbers 1 to 10 (letter size)

Poster 2: Numbers 11 to 20 (letter size)

✏️ Resource 2:

Posters for numbers 0 to 20 – size: 12.5x19cm (half of a letter size paper)

Each poster contains the following for each number:

• Number with arrow(s)
• Number in letters (e.g., un, deux)
• Number with dots
• Number with objects

✏️ Resource 3:

Tracing mats for numbers (1 to 20) – size: 12.5x9.5cm (quarter of a letter size paper for each individual number)

How to use this product?

Making the big posters as well as the smaller posters visible in the classroom will help students see that math is an important part of our daily lives and it is essential in order to complete tasks in and outside of the classroom. The smaller posters with the individual numbers on them can be used in a center activity, but they can also be displayed on the wall in front of the classroom where students can see them easily. As the posters show the proper number formation with arrows, they can also be used on the (white) board when students work on individual numbers. They are big enough to be seen from students’ desks. (I would recommend their display on the wall or the board due to their size, rather than in a center activity.)

The tracing mats have been created in support of proper number formation and fine motor skills in young children. They will enable your students to explore and create while learning how to trace the numbers correctly. The mats have been created to be used with Play-Doh, as the numbers are quite large; however, they can also be used with crayons. It is best to laminate them for durability. This will allow your students to practice the number formation every day as a daily routine. Otherwise, you can photocopy the tracing mats (there are 4 numbers on each) for your students to practice on.
