✏️ Jeux
Jeux! Jeux! Et davantage de jeux! If you are looking for some engaging activities for Halloween, you will like the activities included in this product. This product contains 2 games, a domino game with words and a board game. Each reinforces the vocabulary for Halloween. Both games are available in colour and black and white – they come with instructions; therefore, your students can play the games independently. The games can be used in a centre, or students can enjoy reinforcing their learned vocabulary when they have free time in the classroom.
It is a good idea to laminate these activities for durability.
Content:
- Dominos de mots – Task: Students start the domino game with the domino labeled with the word Départ. It’s important to begin the game with this domino in order for the students to be able to use the whole set of dominos (30 pieces). The goal is to match an image with a word – either placing a domino beside (horizontally) to the corresponding domino, or placing it on the top (vertically) – there are images on a page with instructions in the product. This game can be played alone or with a partner in the classroom. It’s a great way to learn and/or reinforce the vocabulary for Halloween.
- Board game with images related to Halloween – Task: the main goal is to arrive first to the haunted house. Players will need a dice and pieces. Each time a player lands on a square, they need to name what they see on the square (e.g., It’s a witch). The game is played similarly to the board game Snake and Ladders – there are ladders and arrows that show where a piece needs to go next in case someone lands on the squares indicated by these two symbols. There are instructions in the product on how to play the game.
Suggestion: Please note that the words to be used for the board game are the same as the ones in the domino game; therefore, it is best to start with the domino game, as this will allow students to learn and/or review the vocabulary for Halloween.
