What are Boom Cards?

Boom Cards are self-checking, interactive digital task cards that student can use on Boom Learning’s platform. They are created by professionals, such as teachers, speech language pathologists, etc. in order to provide an engaging way for students to learn remotely or in person. They are an amazing asset for a classroom as Boom Cards creators can embed a variety of tools, such as words, images, and even sounds to their decks. Therefore, second language learners could greatly benefit from using Boom Cards.

How to use Boom Cards? (taken directly from Boom Learning’s site)

“To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for modern Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have an account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (a form of play that gives instant feedback to students for self-grading Boom Cards).
