ESL basic English vocabulary review ALS

This core English ESL (ELL EAL) resource helps to review basic vocabulary. There are options for daily "Questions of the day" and engaging games. Students can practice interviewing classmates or spend time learning school vocabulary. All activities are designed to be print and go review activities for anytime of year. Take the stress out of planning for your beginner ESL classes!

Resource 1:

This core ESL resource helps to review basic vocabulary with a daily question. Start your class off each day with a warm up question or activity. It is a great way to get students talking and help you to establish a low stress routine with no extra prep.

Resource 2:

In this resource, students can interview their classmates to get extra speaking practice. Next they can either write about the classmate (All about ____) or about themselves with several templates to pick from (All about me!). Finally there are 24 personal basic profiles given with 3 suggested games and activities for more speaking practice with personal questions (i.e. How old are you? What is your favorite pastime?). There are 22 interview questions included which students can use for support while writing a paragraph. There is a simplified version also included.

-Four template formats including smartphone, retro signs, basic style or pennant flag

-Templates for "Who is your teacher?" and "Investigating your classmate"

-A list of 22 basic questions - this allows students to pick their own sentences or it could be used for an interview

This is an engaging ESL resource with game suggestions to review basic school vocabulary. There are printable flashcards with 63 images. This resource is perfect for reinforcing vocabulary while having fun playing games like Scoot, Typhon, or Flyswatter smash/Board slap.

-63 colored flashcards (flashcards can be used for a multitude of language games)

-Answer response sheet included

-Two options for Scoot questions

-Typhon  grid and questions - The grid can be adapted to review any topic. Blank typhon question sheets included.
