When teaching ESL, certain students constantly ask for my help when a new word arrives in front of them. Even with all their notes and the knowledge they possess, they black and can't go forward.
I therefore created a bookmark to use when reading a text. It contains 5 little tricks that help discerning the meaning of words that seem new to them. They must look through these 5 tricks before going to the dictionary and even more so before seeking my help.
