to be used as part of an independent reading project. Students must read at a certain frequency and for a certain amount of minutes; however the students choose their own reading material.
an evaluation grid is included. The number of days has a greater worth because the objective is to create a reading routine.
*** I created the program and documents to promote reading English material to ESL students. The project had amazing results with more than 75% of my eighth graders reading more than 6 books during the whole school year!!!
*** By allowing them to select their own reading material, they can choose better adapted reading material, both in language and topic.
